We see more and more people now-a-days looking to
be enlightened through various methods of self help. This isn’t something that happens just out of
nowhere.
In truth, we are already enlightened, because our
conscious is multi-dimensional. This is
the part that most of us have never actually tapped into. It requires a willingness and effort to get
to know it. Just because you know
someone is living next door does not mean that you know them. You still need to make an effort in this
relationship to get to know them.
Our enlightened consciousness is like a buried
treasure. We have the map for it and all
it takes now is to try to find and dig it out. In order for us to realize our
true self and our connection to the Source we need to make a decision. This
search becomes the focus of our lives.
It is not just a hobby.
Searching for this treasure is a commitment. We dedicate our life to it because we know
the rewards far outweigh our wildest imaginations.
Once we do find this beautiful treasure, everything
that we thought was a problem, everyone we did not like and were bothered with,
will all seem absolutely trivial. When
we even get to the first step on the ladder of enlightenment we quickly realize
that all the praise, fame, or fortune in the world does not compare to this
treasure.
Just like the savings account and investments we
make, all the energy spent on this search goes to our retirement account. This is the energy we are investing towards
our spiritual growth and when we retire from this physical world.
This investment really does not take much effort
and it does not need an accountant or a financial advisor to keep track of
it. It does however require for us to
recalibrate our lives and our good old habits of patterns and readjustment of
our perspectives.
So before we jump on the train of self-realization
and enlightenment there are few questions we need to ask ourselves:
Are we ready to make a life around spirituality?
Are we ready to make spirituality no matter what
our profession the focus and centre of our lives?
Are we ready to be deeply honest with ourselves?
Are we ready to relearn some of the stuff we have
already learned and let go of the old ways?
Are we ready to question ALL our beliefs?
Are we ready to learn from anyone and anything?
Are we ready to respect everything (animate or
inanimate)?
Are we ready to be “abnormal”? LOL. I say this because
we will find ourselves going against the grain of normal or things that are
currently accepted from time to time.
And most importantly, ARE WE READY TO THINK?
Whatever we give attention to the most, we
become. To be successful on the path of
self-realization and enlightenment, our spirituality must become the centre of
our reality. This does not mean that we
quit our day-job and just meditate. This
means that we live our lives as we need to while making decisions and
proceeding with our daily lives keeping spirituality in the forefront of what
we do, say or think.
We need to evaluate our lives. Ask yourself: how is my life going? Am I
happy, content and connected? Do I feel joyful and peaceful internally
regardless of what is happening externally? Do I feel secure or am I afraid? Do
I feel loved or alone? Do I feel provided for or anxious? Am I aware of the
patterns that rule my reality? Do I make my own path in life or am I a
follower? Do I love this life and Universe and have a strong desire to help? Am
I fed-up with all the gossip and drama? Am I really a physical being and is
that all there is to me? Do I grasp and understand this liquid bliss of loving
everything and everyone?
Asking all these questions is where our journey of
discovery starts. When we are
self-realized, we have the answers to all that for ourselves. We often start
studying many different spiritual philosophies and looking for the key components
that make sense to us, needed to effectively awaken ourselves into higher state
of consciousness.
If we want to find the “us” that we have forgotten,
we need to prioritize our awakening. In order for this awakening to happen, we
need to have integrity in who we are, what we do and what we believe and accept
as the purpose of our lives. We need to also believe and comprehend in the
belief that direct knowledge of God, spiritual truth, or ultimate reality can
be attained through subjective experience.
We will then yearn to connect with the Divine, The
Oneness, The Source, The ALL and we will look for a direct relationship with
the ultimate reality. Spirituality is not a part time job. Our lives need to be lived around that. We
need to integrate spirituality into our daily lives.
Start with little things: being non-judgemental,
putting the basket of past we carry around down (memories and unpleasant
experiences can be extremely heavy), understanding the many faces of God and
loving them for what they are (this has nothing to do with approving of them),
starting a gratitude journal, understanding the nature, seeing the beauty
around and putting less focus on things you don’t want to see, etc….
A good part of being Spiritual, or FEELING
Spiritual; This is called Mindfulness. To be Mindful, is to think about your
Spirituality in everything you think, say or do. To be AWARE of your
Spirituality. Be aware of the Source and the living Universe that is within
you.
Once we become awakened, we can affect what we call
physical reality and create seeming miracles.
This would absolutely correlate to the amount of conscious energy that
we have absorbed of course. To absorb this energy, all you have to do is
visualize it and feel its presence around you. The longer you can do this the
more energy you absorb. Now try to see
the energy and the continuation of it within things around you without a
break. Try to feel vibrationally instead
of using your 5 physical senses. Become an explorer.
Recalibrate your life and your priorities. Keep love at the forefront of all things you
think, say and do. Prioritize love over
all other things in your life. You will
find that there is nothing, NOT A THING, which cannot be conquered through this
magnificent force.
We have the choice of being spiritual, or just
automating our lives by going through our days without any thought to
ourselves, who and what we are, our energies, our presence, and our connection
to the Source, which is based on how well we understand it, and how often we
think and reflect up on it.
How badly we want miracles in our lives will
determine whether or not we will be ‘dedicated’ to our Path and be Consistent
and Committed to our Practices.
Live in Light!
